San Diego, CA – Sustainability is always in season at Evans Hotels in San Diego. All three of Evans Hotels’ properties, the Bahia Resort, Catamaran Resort Hotel and Spa, and The Lodge at Torrey Pines, recently earned the California Green Lodging Program’s Environmentalist Level accolade for its commitment to reducing waste, saving energy, water, and California’s other valuable resources through environmentally friendly practices.

The Environmentalist Level is the highest tier a hotel property can receive among the program’s award categories, which are given out every three years.

“We are proud to be a leader in California’s hospitality industry that demonstrates water and energy conservation, waste minimization, recycling, environmentally friendly purchasing, program sustainability, and pollution prevention,” said Robert Gleason, President and CEO of Evans Hotels. “Environmentally friendly practices are a cornerstone of our WE CARE corporate social responsibility program and we’re honored to be certified as a top choice for eco-conscious travelers.”

The Bahia Resort, Catamaran Resort and The Lodge at Torrey Pines have consistently been recognized at the Environmentalist Level of the California Green Lodging Program since 2009.

The California Green Lodging Program helps provide lodging needs to travelers who prefer a green and sustainable option when planning their accommodations.
